A private-sector bank cut branch queues across a 120-branch rollout
A private-sector bank cut peak-hour branch queues and made visitor logs compliance-ready in a 120-branch pilot, scaling toward 900.
The challenge
Peak-hour crowding at branches meant long waits, no visibility of queue length, and walk-outs — with compliance-grade visitor logs still on paper.
Long, invisible queues cost banks twice: customers walk out, and staff cannot see or manage throughput. Meanwhile, the visitor and footfall logs that regulators expect were still being kept on paper, branch by branch, with no consistency.
What we deployed
NEXUS VQMS — self-service token kiosks, virtual queues over QR, predictive wait times and a lobby display board, with an audit-ready visitor log.
Key capabilities- Virtual queue over QRCustomers join the queue from a kiosk or their phone and wait wherever they like.
- Predictive wait timesLive estimates set expectations and cut walk-outs at peak hours.
- Token & counter routingCustomers are called to the right counter for their need, balancing load across staff.
- Lobby display boardA real-time board shows who's next, keeping the branch calm and orderly.
- Branch throughput dashboardManagers benchmark service times and volumes branch by branch.
- Audit-ready visitor logEvery visit is captured digitally for compliance, by default.
How it works
Customers join a virtual queue from a kiosk or their phone, see live wait estimates, and are called to the right counter — while managers watch throughput on a real-time dashboard across the branch network.
Outcomes
- Shorter, visible queues at peak hours
- Compliance-ready visitor logs by default
- Predictive wait times cut walk-outs
- Branch-by-branch throughput benchmarking
The use case in depth
Branch experience is a competitive surface for retail banks, and queues are the most visible friction. A virtual-queue system turns an anxious, invisible wait into a managed one: customers see their place and estimated time, staff see live load, and managers finally get throughput data to staff against.
Proving it in a 120-branch pilot before a 900-branch rollout is the pattern that de-risks scale — a repeatable branch-experience standard validated on real volumes, then rolled out network-wide with the compliance logging built in from day one.

See UrSpayce VQMS →Frequently asked questions
How does a virtual queue reduce branch walk-outs?
Customers join by QR or kiosk and see a live wait estimate, so they can wait comfortably instead of standing in an unclear line. Visible, predictable waits reduce the frustration that drives peak-hour walk-outs.
Can branch queue management produce compliance logs?
Yes. UrSpayce VQMS records every visit as an audit-ready digital log by default, so branches meet visitor-record requirements without maintaining paper registers.
Does it scale across a large branch network?
Yes. It is designed to prove out in a pilot and scale nationally, with a central dashboard benchmarking throughput branch by branch across hundreds of locations.
