RFID-based geofencing for workforce safety at NTPC.

GeoFencer in production: a workforce-safety geofencing system for NTPC — India's largest power utility. UrSpayce mapped the plant's critical safety zones, deployed RFID gates and people-counters over a private LoRaWAN network, and stood up a live safety dashboard with an automated boundary-alert engine — through a 12-week trial, formally signed off on completion.

What is geofenced attendance?
Geofenced attendance uses a virtual boundary around your site so employees are checked in automatically when they enter the workplace zone and checked out when they leave — removing manual punch-in and biometric queues.
How does UrSpayce geofencing work?
UrSpayce defines GPS-based geofences around each site or zone; the mobile app detects boundary crossings and records presence, which can drive attendance, zone access and safety workflows in real time.
How accurate is geofencing and how is privacy protected?
Geofencing uses location only to detect entry and exit of defined work zones, not continuous tracking, and location permissions stay in the employee's control — balancing accuracy with privacy.
Can I create multiple zones and sites?
Yes. You can define multiple geofences per site and across many locations, each with its own rules for attendance, access or safety, all managed centrally.
